Mohammed Kamal performs as Special K (SY), also using the name Papa Kamal. His own channel traces his roots to Latakia in Syria and his move to Dubai in 2011. The sets bring organic house, downtempo and oriental electronic music together.
His 2026 rooftop session in Latakia was recorded at Oppa during rebuilding work. In Dubai, his Crescent Moon Lake set for Cafe De Anatolia uses the desert as its setting. Both are full performances, with time to hear the transitions between tracks.
With Omar Alkilani, he performs as Hijaz Convoy. Their archive includes a hybrid live session from Kampnagel in Hamburg and a 2026 Entry Festival set at Uludağ Mountain. The pair also share a remix credit on Saraabb’s Dune / Nebula release for Underyourskin Records.
